Jon Evans Hapner, son of Jon and Suzanne Hapner of Hillsboro, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2025.
He was born on July 28, 1968, in Wilmington, Ohio.
Jon graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1986, the University of Cincinnati in 1990 and later earned a master's degree in clinical psychology from the University of Dayton.
Jon worked for Hamilton County Social Services, the Mansfield and Marysville Prisons and was the Lake County Jail Mental Health Counselor.
He is survived by one son, Michael Hapner; two sisters, Priscilla Hapner and Jonda (Richard) Yengo; one nephew, Robert Yengo and two nieces, Roma and Rachel Yengo; as well as many other cousins and family members.
A celebration of Jon's life will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
The family will receive friends from noon until the time of the service at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Highland County Homeless Shelter at 145 Homestead Dr, Hillsboro, OH 45133.
