Jon Hossli Obituary
In his former years, Jon was a bow hunter, fisherman, and collector of tools, but he always remained an avid golfer. He enjoyed many years playing with the Bennett Valley Men's Club. On the weekends, he could be found working on projects in the garage, watching sports, and preparing to barbecue for his family's dinner. As a loving husband, father, and provider, he demonstrated a hard work ethic, warm generosity towards family and friends, and maintained an organized garage and yard.
During the Vietnam War, Jon was drafted and served in the Army.
Jon worked almost 25 years for North Bay Construction as an Estimator. It was a job he enjoyed due to his fellow employees and the family like atmosphere.
He is preceded in death by his parents Victor and Frances Hossli and father-in-law Stanley Dybczak.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Carolyn, of 34 years; his sons Kyle (Heather) and Eric (Leah); his sister Jan Bonner (Brent), mother-n-law Mary Dybczak, brothers-in-law Paul (Kim), John (Tamera), Jim (Jeralyn), and Michael; nieces and nephews Michael, Megan, Makenna (Tye), Nathan, Natalie (John), Daisy, and Bryan; and his aunts Ann and Gen along with uncle Wally.
No services are planned to be held.
He will be deeply missed by his family. In memory of Jon, play a round of golf.

I am saddened beyomd words. Jon was my longest-life friend, having grown up a few houseses apart in Arden Park and going all through school (beginning with Kindergarten) together including what we called "The University of California at Winding Creek" (A.K.A American River College). Memories? Oh my God, suffice it to say I couldn't begin to tell you the stories without choking on my tears. This guy had an incredible sense of humor, an unbelievably inventive mind, and was a magnet for everyone he met. Please excuse me while I relfect on my life spent in the company of Jon Hossli.

I knew a Jon Hossli while I attended American River College. He had a twin, a sister named Jan. I believe this is the Jon I knew.
Not sure how we met, perhaps golf.
He and his friends, including me, would just sit about and chat in a grassy area. Simple days. I remember his car, perhaps a GTO, had a OOGA horn option, and he'd drive up and sound that horn...ooga-ooga . This must have around 1970.
He was a nice guy.. and though the memories are old, I'm grateful to have them.
