Robert Irvin Hossli passed away peacefully on March 19, 2025, at Providence Point in Pittsburgh, Pa.
Robert (Bob) was born on Dec 8, 1928, in Dayton Ohio, to Albert and Dorothy (Nutty) Hossli. He graduated from Fairmont High School in 1947 and from the University of Cincinnati in 1953 with a Degree of Science in Architecture. Robert was drafted into the Army in 1953 and was assigned to the Signal School in Fort Monmouth, N.J. until honorably discharged in 1955. While in the Army, Bob met the love of his life for 68 years, Drusilla (Dru) Tanner, and while courting Dru, he went on to further his education at MIT. In 1956, Bob married Dru, and in 1957 he graduated from MIT with a Master of Science in Engineering. In 1957 they welcomed their first son John. Karl was born a year later in 1958 (deceased 2016), and Brian in 1960.
Bob spent his working years on numerous architectural projects across the U.S with Westinghouse, Reynolds Metals, Amarlite Division of Anaconda Aluminum, H.H Robertson, and Centria.
A loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather; Bob is survived by his wife Dru, son John and wife Linda, son Brian and wife Mary, his grandchildren Hayley, Anthony, Katherine, Kyle, Kelly and Tanner and great grandchildren, Madeline, Juliette, Lennox, Jaden and Logan.
Bob's memorial service will be held on April 4th at 12pm at Providence Point Chapel followed by a reception at the Chartiers Room.
In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to the Baptist Homes Foundation to be used for the Employee Appreciation Fund.

As a young sales engineer with HH Robertson Bob was a great help to me in understanding wall systems. He had a wealth of knowledge he gladly and regularly shared. I learned a lot from him that helped me be successful. He was a credit to HHR, Centria and our industry. May he rest in peace.
