Jon C. Hub, 73, of Pingree Grove, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2025, surrounded by his family.
He was born on October 20, 1951, in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, the son of John and Marian (Henderson) Hub. Jon worked as an auto mechanic for many years. He was a dedicated Boy Scout Leader. He loved traveling, camping, and, most of all, spending time with his grandchildren. Jon was also a talented drummer, enjoyed swimming, and helping anyone in need. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Jon is survived by his wife, Dawn Cordina-Hub; his children, Melissa (Michael) Winn, Timothy (Anna) Hub, Jennifer (Joseph) Bailey, Megan (Robert) Albright, and Timothy (Anne) Cordina; 18 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his siblings, Patty (Tryon) Andreas and David (Debbie) Hub; and many extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marlene Frances Hub, who passed away in 1996, and his sisters, Vickie Graham and Jo-An Hub.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 4–7 p.m. at DeFiore Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 12, 2025, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Acacia Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Les Turner Foundation or St. Peter Lutheran Church.
