Jon Clark McCoy, 63, of Brandon, Mississippi, passed away peacefully at his home on August 7, 2025, after a long, hard battle with cancer. He was a devoted husband of 37 years to his beloved wife, Ella Kay; a loving father to his children, Cody Bruce, Jon Clark, and Mary Drew; and a proud grandfather to Joel Bruce and Finley McCoy. Jon’s greatest joy was his family; not far behind, his love for vintage cars and building anything and everything he could get his hands on. His high-spirited personality was one that could not be overlooked. He enjoyed being the life of the party and was never too shy to (try to) prove himself right. Despite his tough external shell, Jon truly had a heart of gold and was always willing to go the extra mile for those he loved. He was also a respected and dedicated business owner of over 40 years and enjoyed his career tremendously, pouring his heart and soul into every project.
Visitation will be on Sunday, August 10, 2025, from 1:30 to 3:00 pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon with a memorial service to follow at 3:00 pm. Burial will be in Lakeland Place Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Hospice Promise Foundation.
