Jon Maurice Rogers

I and many others on Saint Simons Island met Jon via his old friend Michael Harris who shared Jon´s spirit with the rest of us. Jon shared his enthusiasm of historic preservation, adaptive reuse and economic revitalization and explained his reasons why he should be the next Mayor of Brunswick and The Golden Isles and we all supported his candidacy. We all enjoyed his fun stories, ideas, and simple joie de vivre. He is missed but will always be remembered for his kindness wherever he went. (Huntley)

As a neighbor of Jon on leete st we would have our occasional porch get together with great conversation. Jon was always personable,well versed and great sense of humor.I still reflect back when Jon and Megan started a block party for neighbors to know one another,be kind and helpfull and that was Jon's way.
