Fitzpatrick Funeral HomeJon Andrew Weddle, of Terre Haute, went to be with his sweet savior on October 16, 2025. Jon was born on February 12, 1975, to Ronald and Judy (Hayworth) Weddle.
A proud veteran, Jon served his country in the Air Force for 7 years as a mechanical engineer. He would travel the world fixing any problems thrown at him. His hard work and dedication to his country would shape him into the great man he would become. Jon would go on to work at I hyssenkrupp Presta, where he enjoyed being the Union Steward and made many lifelong friends. However, he would find his favorite job at GE Aerospace as. a Quality CMM. Working there enabled him to tap into his nerdy side and use his extensive knowledge of algebra and mathematics. In Jon's free time, he loved to spend time working on his car, a Subaru WRX or playing his guitar. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his mother. He and his mother grew very close over the last 5 years, especially through music. They would take turns enlightening one another to their favorite genres of music, such as Jon's love for heavy metal and Judy's love for southern gospel. Jon had a great life, and we will love him and miss him, but we know where he is.
Jon is survived by his mother Judy Weddle; sister Lori Carpenter; nephews Austin, Kaleb, Bryce, and Alexander Carpenter; Niece Megan Carpenter; a great-niece and nephew Sawyer and Reese; as well as several dear family and friends.
Jon is proceeded in death by his father Ronald Weddle as well as his grandparents.
In keeping with his wishes cremation has been chosen.
