Jon Dale Wise

Jon Dale Wise, age 33, of North Mitchell Avenue in Bakersville, passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2025.
Born in Mitchell County on October 9, 1991, he was the son of the late Johnny Wise and Michele Statler who still survives. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Dalton Wise who passed away in 2023. Also preceding him in death was his maternal grandmother; Cherry Statler and his paternal grandparents; Charlie and Shirley Wise.
Jon Dale was a 2010 graduate of Mitchell High School and he had previously worked as a millwright. He was known as a quiet and laid-back young man. He loved his dogs and coon hunting. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles and fishing.
Left to cherish his memories are his mother; Michele Statler, his maternal grandfather; Charles Statler, his aunt; Debbie Greene, his cousins; Crystal 'Sissy' Putman, Hayley Shuford, Charles Buchanan and Misty Buchanan, his nephew; Nova Wyatt and his best friend; Tucker Jones.
A private service will be planned for a later date.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt 'Thank You' to Lindsey Edwards, Cassie York, Tennile Owen and M.C.H.P. for all of their help.
