Jonathan Isiah Curbelo

In the city of Springfield, Massachusetts, a light named Jonathan Isiah Curbelo was born on the 27th of April, 1990. He was a beacon of joy, strength, and courage to all those who were fortunate enough to cross his path. Due to his departure on December 22, 2024, heaven has gained an angel, but our world is a little dimmer without his sparkling presence. Jonathan Isiah was a man of faith, and the words from the Bible, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted" (Matthew 5:4) hold special significance now.
Jonathan Isiah was a beacon of resilience and determination, qualities that led him to become a manager at Wendy's at the youthful age of nineteen. He was a sports enthusiast, participating in baseball and wrestling in high school, and continuing his passion for soccer and wrestling in college. His love for video games was only rivaled by his passion for music, and he took great joy in creating his unique sound. He was a foodie who loved cooking, and his dishes were always a delight to those lucky enough to taste them. Jonathan Isiah's achievements extended beyond his professional life and hobbies, reflecting in his unwavering love for family and friends, which was at the core of his being.
Jonathan Isiah leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. He is survived by his loving mother, Yrasema Hale; his sister, Yasmine Hale; his niece, Jadia Hale; his nephew, Xavier Charles; his aunts, Giovanna Castillo, Maritza Bell, Jackie Ocasio, Ana Ocasio, Mitzi Ocasio, and Jackie Curbelo; his uncles, James Bell, Angel Castillo, Felix Ocasio, Ricardo Ocasio, and George Ocasio; and his grandmother, Lydia Richardson. He joins his grandfather, Felix Ocasio, who preceded him in death.
A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, January 11, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, at Puerta Del Cielo® Funeral Home, 730 State Street, Springfield, MA.
