Jonathan Marston Heard of Sandwich, NH passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 5th 2023 from complications related to long term illnesses he had battled courageously for years.
Born on March 26, 1956 in Cambridge MA, son of Arthur and Patricia Heard (Gather). Jon grew up in Lexington MA. He attended Bement School, Deerfield MA, graduated high school from Proctor Academy, Andover, NH, and graduated Johnson & Wales University, Providence RI with a degree in Hospitality Management. Jon lived many years in Melrose MA with his wife Rosemary and son Myles while working first in Hospitality and later in a second career as a plumber in high tech construction.
In 2005 Jon and Rose built a house and moved to Sandwich NH where they made many close friends. Jon and Rose were the ultimate hosts, their annual bash was the highlight of the summer. Jon loved his Friday nights.
Jon is pre-deceased by his wife Rosemary Maybury of 35 years. He is survived by son, Myles Marston Heard of Sandwich, NH; grandchildren Maxwell Marston Heard and Arya Maybury Heard; siblings Adam Heard and Meredith Gisness and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that gifts in his memory be made to the The Sandwich Historical Society, Sandwich, NH.

So very sorry to hear of Jonathan´s passing. We went to Proctor Academy at the same time. Played soccer and hung out. He was a nice person, and he will be greatly missed. Dan, East Andover, NH
