Jonathan Hensley Obituary
November 5, 1984 - August 25, 2024
Jonathan (Jon) Wayne Hensley, 39, devoted husband of Rose Forte Hensley, tragically passed away Sunday, August 25, 2024, after being struck on his bicycle by an automobile. He was born in Richmond, IN, he was the son of Gary Wayne and Janet Kircher Hensley, Richmond, IN.
Jonathan grew up in Richmond, IN and early on, worked alongside his dad at Johns Manville. While attending Purdue University he had a co-op with Toyota and interned for Dell. After graduation, he took a full-time position with Toyota, where he worked in Evansville, IN, San Antonio, TX and Georgetown, KY. With Toyota, he worked his way from Specialist Quality Engineer to Senior Engineer with EV Supply. He was an avid cyclist, loved traveling overseas, hiking, either for work or for pleasure, gaming and was an accomplished woodworker. Recently, he was enjoying time reading psychology-based books and listening to similar type podcasts. Most importantly, he cherished his time as a husband and father.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his children, Nicolas Hensley and Sophia Hensley; siblings, Jessica Hensley, Carl Hensley, and Samantha (Micah) Kast; nieces and nephews, Greyson, Oakland and Marlowe Kast and Ayla Dunaway; grandfather, Wayne Hensley; in-laws, Arnold and Cristina Forte; and many special aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Marcus Hensley, grandmother, Midge Hensley, and grandparents Carl and Ruth Anna Kircher.
Funeral services will be at 3 PM Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Johnson's Funeral Home, conducted by Pastor Mike Justice. Visitation will be from 11 AM till time of service. www.johnsonsfuneralhome.com
