Jonathan Isaac Monroe, 25, Alexis Morgan Monroe, 23, and Jaxson Isaac Monroe, 3, passed away on December 15, 2023. Jonathan was born at Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler, Texas on April 28, 1998. His wife Alexis, 23, was born in Mesquite, Texas on January 24, 2000. Together, they celebrated the birth of their son Jaxson, 3, at UT Health East Texas in Athens, Texas on October 9, 2020.
The one thing that comes to mind when describing the Monroe family is “sunshine”. No matter where they were, they were always surrounded by warmth and light. Jonathan and Alexis met when they were 14 and 16. From that moment on, they have been inseparable. It was the kind of love that everyone dreams of. The one that no matter what was going on, they were always there for each other. Whatever door they went through they went through it together. When they welcomed their son Jaxson into the world, their love grew even more. Jonathan and Alexis’ greatest achievement was their little family. Life became about living beyond themselves. Everything they did was with love. They knew no stranger. Jonathan and Alexis were always there to help others in any way they could. Not only were they incredibly loved, so was Jaxson. He had a smile that would light up the room. The spark in their eyes when they all looked at one another was undeniable. So, while their lives may have been lost at such a young age, they never had to experience the loss of their love for one another.
Jonathan, Alexis, and Jaxson are survived by Jonathan’s parents, Diane Monroe and James Monroe; brother, David Monroe, and other extended family; Alexis’ parents, April Robinson and Gregory Meadows; siblings, Jessica Pisko, Clint Robinson, Bobby Meadows, and Dillan Meadows, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family; Sherri Smart and Cody Cook, Keisha Arellano, Kendall Price, and extended family.
Jonathan, Alexis, and Jaxson are preceded in death by Jonathan’s grandfather, Billy M. Rasco; Alexis’ grandparents, Earl Parker and Freda Parker; Betty Zaro, and other relatives that have passed.
