Jonathan Kemper Obituary

Jonathan was a skilled machinist and was an asset to various companies throughout his working career. In his down time, he liked CrossFit, disc golf, and throwing darts.
He is survived by his father and stepmother, Todd and Debbie Kemper of Arizona; mother, Kathleen (Hibbert) Peterson of California; sister, Bryanna (Milo) Nelson of Arizona; uncle and aunt, Tom and Alice Kemper of California; uncle and aunt, Joe and Bambi Kemerly of Indiana; two nephews, Milo III and Corbin; one niece, Cailyn; and his dog, Lya. He was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Kemper.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to honor Jonathan's life and memory.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent via mail to the Hancock County Humane Society, 214 E. Main Street, Greenfield, Indiana 46140 or by website https://www.hancockcountyhumanesociety.org.
Friends may share a memory or condolence at www.erleweinmortuary.com.
Arrangements are being handled by Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory in Greenfield.

Jon was one of the kindest, driven, and passionate person I have met. He was a huge part of our CrossFit community and we will miss him sincerely. Keep working on those overhead squats brother and I know you are loved and missed.

Jon, you left too soon. Our last conversation was about how much you liked working out with Matt during competitors hour at our gym, and how you wanted to push yourself to be better. You were always kind and friendly, and you told me you were happy when you saw I posted a pic of you and your dog on instagram a while back. We will miss you at our gym and will always remember your kind spirit.

I´ll never forget the first time I accomplished rope climbs at our old gym space.. Jon took the time to come over and say nice job after I was done. His kindness and encouragement will be greatly missed. My condolences.

Jon was such a sweetheart. It was always a pleasure to see him at the gym and workout with him. He always had a high five or fist bump for every person. He attended all the gym events and showed support to everyone. I will miss him very much.
