Jonathan Ledford Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cease Family Funeral Home - Bemidji on Feb. 12, 2026.
Jonathan "Jon" D. Ledford, 41 of Kelliher, MN died Friday, February 6, 2026

at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 pm, Thursday, February 19, 2026 at St. Patrick's

Catholic Church in Kelliher, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the

service.

Jonathan was born August 14, 1984 in Pontiac, MI, the son of Benson and

Anna (Cosselman) Ledford. From a mischievous little boy to a loveable class

clown Jon made friends everywhere he went. Raised in Kelliher Mn, Jon was

active in various clubs and organizations throughout his high school days,

taking great pride in football, FFA, and theater especially. He would go on to

attend Hibbing Community College where he earned his AA in Auto

Mechanics and later spent a short time at Bemidji State University. Years

later Jon would finally settle down, eventually finding the love of his life and

starting a family in the Blackduck area.

A lover of all things cars, Jon's hands were always dirty. From classics to old

beaters Jon was happiest under the hood of a car. When he wasn't taking

apart cars or partaking in demo derbies, he was at the lake or in the woods

camping, hunting, and fishing with friends any chance he got.

Jon wore his heart on his sleeve and would do just about anything to make

someone smile, especially his kids and nieces/nephews. They were his pride

and joy. Always willing to lend a helping hand, Jon loved helping people.

He is survived by his fiancé, Misty Armstrong, parents, Benson and Anna

Ledford, daughter, RoseMary, stepson Joseph, siblings, Chad (Loretta)

Ledford, Jennifer (Ron) Lotton, Jessica Ledford, Elizabeth Ledford, Benson

(Joe) Ledford III, and Debra (Terrance) Horton, nieces, nephews, and

friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, stepdaughter, RoseLynn and

numerous friends.
