Jonathan “John” Todd Morgan, age 56, of Pass Christian, Mississippi, passed away on January 27, 2026.
Born June 8, 1969, in Atlanta, Georgia, to Steverson T. Morgan, Jr. and Wanda Diane Powe Morgan, John lived life on his own terms. He was a very hard worker who believed in doing things his way and standing on his own two feet. A true country boy at heart, John loved the outdoors—fishing, hunting, riding fast, and listening to old school country music. Easy-going and laid back, he was never one to stay uptight and always enjoyed a good time. He would help anyone who needed it, and though he was sometimes misunderstood, he was a good man with a kind heart and a free spirit.
Above all, John loved his children. He was proud to be their father and was always there for them.
He is survived by his children: James (Lavonna) Morgan of Biloxi, Wanda (Branden) Strong of Tennessee, and Jonathon Morgan of Pass Christian, Mississippi. He is also survived by his siblings, Rebecca Denise (James) Buie of Perkinston, Mississippi; Michael Morgan of Texarkana, Arkansas; and Tonya (Rick) Davis of Perkinston, Mississippi; his aunts and uncles, Gail and Monty Baxter of Gulfport, Mississippi, and Michael and Bonnie Powe of Lucedale, Mississippi; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kathy Morgan; his son, Eddie Morgan; his parents, Steverson T. Morgan, Jr. and Wanda Diane Powe Morgan; his sister, Shelia Morgan; his brother, Steverson “Anthony” Morgan; and his grandparents, Louie and Ruby Spaniol, Jimmy and Louise Burroughs, Wilburn and Rose Powe, and Steverson T. Morgan, Sr.
John will be remembered for his free spirit, his love for his family, and the simple joy he found in living life his way. He will be deeply loved and missed by all who knew him.
