Jonathan Evan Patterson, beloved husband and father, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024, at the age of 22.
Jonathan was born in Pinehurst, North Carolina on September 7, 2001 to Lacy and Barbara Patterson. Since birth, he was a member of the Heritage Church of God, Vass, North Carolina.
'Jonathan graduated from Pinecrest_ High School in 2019. He joined the Armed Forces and was stationed at Fort Liberty, North Carolina. He was an Airborne paratrooper and a 92Y (Supply Specialist).
During his service, Jonathan was incredibly competitive. He took challenges and excelled in them. He got joy from outdoing his chain of command in any physical activities. He was a joy and light to many people who knew him.
He had a great love for eating and making breakfast for himself and others. He never failed to stress the importance of having a healthy and balanced breakfast every morning. Jonathan was also very protective of the people he loved. He always made sure that they would be prepared and ready for anything.
In his free time, Jonathan enjoyed skating and watching anime. Above all, Jonathan treasured time with his family and friends. He was a quiet person, with eyes that said it all. Jonathan loved his wife deeply. He was a great husband, father and friend. His presence will be deeply missed.
Jonathan is survived by his wife Tierra Patterson, son Jace Patterson, his parents, Lacy and Barbara Patterson; siblings, Donna Patterson and Karen Patterson of Raeford, North Carolina; Greer Patterson, of Queens, New York; Mitchell Patterson of Mount Vernon, New York and Scott Patterson, of Bronx, New York; maternal grandmother, Audrey Campbell; grand aunts, Valda Campbell, Yonkers, NY, Vera Cunningham, Jamaica, West Indies, and Leah Campbell, Jamaica, West Indies; and a hosts of nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 AM Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Heritage Church of God, 3678 US-1 Business, Vass, NC 28394.
Funeral Services with Full Military Honors will follow at 11:00 AM with Pastor C.E. Sarver officiating.
