Jonathan Robert Rockey

Jonathan Robert Rockey, 23, passed away suddenly on November 16, 2025, following a motorcycle accident. Jonathan was born in Lemoore, California but was always proud of the fact he was able to live in multiple regions of the United States, finally landing in Jacksonville, Florida. He received a Bachelor's degree from the University of North Florida where he was working towards completing his Master's in history and working as a teaching assistant.

Jonathan loved all sports especially football and hockey (Go Lions, Spartans and Red Wings!), history, cooking and reading.

He is survived by his parents: Jon and Karin Rockey; Sisters: Natalie and Leah Rockey; Grandmothers: Kathy Harrington and Kim Frishcosy, Grandfather Jeff Harrington and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on 24 November 2025 in the Event Center at Peeples, 14165 N. Main Street (Building C).

His family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.

Peeples Family Funeral Home is serving the Rockey Family.
