Joseph C. "Joe" Greene

Joseph "Joe" Claude Greene, 63, passed away on February 21, 2026, surrounded by his devoted wife and children. Born on March 1, 1962, Joe lived a life marked by faith, laughter, music, and deep love for his family.

Joe graduated from West Nassau High School in 1980. He went on to dedicate more than 30 years of faithful service to WestRock before retiring.

He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Greene. He is survived by his loving mother, Virginia Dale Greene; his devoted wife of 28 years, Pam; his brother, Mark; his children, Ashley, Jarrod, and Taylor; his five cherished grandchildren, Hunter, Anniston, Kinsley, Karleigh, and Warren; and even his beloved granddog, Rex.

Joe had a passion for singing and used his beautiful voice to glorify the Lord as lead singer of the southern gospel quartet, In His Name. His love for Jesus was evident in both song and spirit, and his family finds comfort knowing he is now singing face to face with his Savior.

He was an avid fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and rarely missed a chance to cheer them on. Joe loved traveling with Pam, especially driving along the coast of north Florida to Amelia Island or taking mountain vacations to Cades Cove, where he delighted in watching deer and the beauty of God's creation.

Above all, Joe loved his family. He was his children's biggest supporter and could often be heard proudly bragging about their accomplishments. His grandchildren knew him as "Big Pa", and they were the light of his life. Nothing brought him greater joy than attending their events and celebrating their milestones.

Known for his quick wit and playful spirit, Joe was a natural jokester who kept those around him laughing. His warmth, booming laugh, and steadfast faith will be deeply missed but forever remembered.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 7, at North Jacksonville Baptist Church, 8531 N. Main Street with Rev. Chris A. Coram, officiating. The family will receive guests at 1:00 PM, with the service beginning at 2:00 PM.

Joe's legacy of faith, love, laughter, and music will live on in all who knew and loved him.
