Jonathan Rodden Obituary
August 3, 1958 - March 5, 2023
Jonathan David Rodden of Creedmoor, N.C. entered eternal rest peacefully at home on March 5, 2023, after a five year battle with ALS.
He is survived by his wife, Debby Logan Rodden; son, Taylor Rodden (Roxanne); daughter, Emily Rodden Emory (Joey); and three grandchildren, Gavin, Clark and Finley; sisters, Susan Dittler (Martin) of Moneta Va., and Nancy Hunt (Andy) of Goode Va.; four sisters-in-law, Jackie Logan, Janet Bowers, Linda O'Keeffe, and Rita Bristow; one brother-in-law, Robert Logan; stepbrother, John Roberts III; step-sister, Peggy Roberts Tompkins (Jim), and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was born on August 3 1958, in Danville, Va., to Barbara Farthing Rodden, who survives, and Harry Sydnor Rodden Jr., deceased.
David retired from Duke Energy after a 43 year career and enjoyed lake life at Lake Gaston for many years prior to his illness. He was a skilled woodcrafter and leaves behind many creations to grace the homes of family and friends.
He was a member of Trinity UMC while a Danville resident and later a member of First United Methodist Church of Fuquay Varina.
David was blessed to have home care from his devoted wife Debby and ultimately the services of Hospice.
A memorial and celebration of life service will be held April 15, 2023, at Haven Farm, 8521 Buffalo Rd., Knightsdale, N.C. A memorial service will begin at 2:30 p.m. followed by a fellowship and sharing time.

I am sorry to hear of the loss of David! I worked with David for over 30 years while at the Harris Plant and when he was Supervisor for the Transmission Group in Sanford. His son Taylor was also part of our Indian Guides Tribe back in the day (aka Chief Crazy Eagle). He was a great guy and will be missed.

Debby, I was sorry to hear of the passing of David. I know the last several years have been tough for you both, but fortunately your faith and the support of friends and family have helped you through your sadness.

Was so sad to hear of David's passing. Played many rounds of golf with David. Sometimes as a partner and sometimes as an opponent. Enjoyed the partner games the most.
