Cumberland,
Jonathan T. Snodgrass, 82, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024, surrounded by his loving family in Tockwotton on the Waterfront, East Providence. He was the husband of the late Ann M. (Masse) Snodgrass.
Born in Pittsfield, MA., he was the son of the late Andrew M. and Marion V. (Theurer) Snodgrass. He resided in Cumberland for the past 53 years, previously residing in Natick, MA.
Jon was affectionately known as "Grumpy" to his grandchildren and folks throughout the town. He was an avid gardener and fisherman who took pride in tying his own flies, finding peace and joy in the outdoors. A devoted family man, he never missed his children's and grandchildren's sporting events, always cheering them on with pride. A loyal Patriots fan through both victories and losses. He also enjoyed listening to jazz music and traveling with his beloved wife, creating cherished memories together. Above all, he treasured time spent with his family, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering support.
Jon was the MIS Director for the Town of Brookline for more than 20 years until his retirement. He was previously employed by LG Balfour Co., Attleboro for 25 years.
He is survived by his daughter, Pamela Snodgrass-Belt and her husband Timothy Belt, his son Todd Snodgrass and his wife Linda, all of Cumberland; five grandchildren, Hunter Snodgrass, Jonathan Snodgrass, Olivia Belt, Grace Belt and Ryan Snodgrass along with several cousins, nieces and nephews.
