Jonathan "Than" Sorsenginh, born on December 3, 1991, in Visalia, California, passed away on March 20, 2025, at Moses Cone Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was a cherished dad, son, brother, cousin, and friend, whose presence brought joy to all who knew him.
Jonathan comes from a long line of engineers and earned his degree in Mechanical Engineering from NC A&T University in 2022. He showcased his skills and dedication as a Service Engineer with Hoffman and Hoffman, Inc. in Greensboro, where he was respected by his colleagues for his commitment to his work and his eagerness to support those around him.
Beyond his career, Jonathan had a diverse range of interests that colored his life. He had an immense passion for all types of cars, specifically his JDM MARK II, frequently attending car shows and participating in races. An avid gun collector, he also engaged in card trading, and he loved playing video games, often bonding with his brother and friends during online sessions. These hobbies reflected his vibrant personality and his ability to connect with others through shared interests.
Jonathan was a devoted member of the community, attending Celebrate Church, the Salvation Army Church and St. Mark's Community Church with his family and friends, where he embraced the values of fellowship and service.
He leaves behind his beloved mother, Nikki Easter; brother, Samson Sorsenginh; sister, Chanly Sorsenginh; and his maternal grandparents, Lovancheua and Bounthom Sorenginh. He is also survived by a loving extended family that includes aunts and uncles, Vanessa Allen and her husband David, Amphayvanh Sorsenhinh and his wife Vansavanh; Phonesavanh Sorsenginh; Daravanh Kavanh and her husband Kevin; Kansith Sorsenginh and his wife Atsaraporn Thawichuea; Douangmala Parsons and her husband Patrick; along with numerous cousins. Jonathan was also looking forward to building a family of his own with his girlfriend Megan Buckner along with her children Asher and Salem, who will also miss him dearly. Jonathan was preceded in death by his father, Khamsengchanh Kiaosouvath.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Jonathan's honor on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel. Family and friends are invited to join together in remembrance of a remarkable individual who touched the lives of many.
