Jonathon Stahle Obituary

June 8, 1993 ~ February 17, 2022

Jonathon "Spencer" Stahle, our loving son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend passed away peacefully from a long courageous battle with acute respiratory failure due to Covid-19 complications. Spencer fought valiantly in the hospital for 31 days and then returned to his Heavenly home and into the arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 17, 2022 in Murray, Utah. Spencer was 28 years old and was born on June 8, 1993 in the City of Murray, to Scott and Leslie Stahle.

Spencer was raised in Northern Utah, but spent the later half of his young life in Washington County. He had a happy childhood, spending his time riding bikes, jumping on the trampoline, swimming, playing basketball, soccer, and playing video games.

Spencer loved playing with his brothers and sister. Spencer played football at Desert Hills High School in St. George where he loved supporting his team in any position that they needed. Spencer graduated from high school in 2012.

Spencer faithfully fulfilled a service mission called the Daily Dose Mission, where he taught English to Spanish speaking residents in the Washington County Area. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved being a primary teacher, serving for 5 years in the Washington Fields 7th Ward. He loved teaching the gospel to all of his primary class members and was able to relate with each of them on a personal level. He loved the primary immensely, and was so happy to be part of it.

Spencer worked at Harmons Grocery store, where he loved helping people. He had just achieved a milestone of 10 years of service there and loved being a team member. He will always be remembered for his contagious smile and loving spirit by going out for his way to serve others.

Spencer had a love for animals and all of God's creations. He was always learning and educating himself. Spencer also loved learning about history, nature and geography. He had a zest for life and was always thinking and exploring his world. Spencer loved baseball, especially the Boston Red Sox. He studied all the major league baseball teams and their players and could tell you statistics on any individual. Spencer loved playing video games with his friends at their homes and online. He loved connecting with his friends and attending game nights with them.

Spencer is happily reunited with his sister, Sarah Stahle, grandmother, Shirley Stahle, and Uncle Mark Babcock who preceded him in death. He is survived by his parents, Scott and Leslie Stahle, brothers Micah (Marissa), Stephen (Brynn), sister Mikayla and niece Elaina. He is also survived by grandparents, Calvin and Annette Babcock and R. Gail and Carol Stahle as well as many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Charmander, his bearded dragon, will miss all their walks around the neighborhood and their drives to the pet store together. Spencer loved deeply and was deeply loved by so many.

A viewing will be held Friday, February 25th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the chapel located at 3167 East 1140 South, St. George, Utah. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 26th at 12:00 noon with a viewing preceding the service from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM and a family prayer at 11:30 AM at the same chapel located at 3167 East 1140 South, St. George, Utah. Interment will follow at Washington City Cemetery, 300 E. Parkview Drive, Washington, UT 84780.
