JoNell King Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Mission Park Funeral Chapels South, Cemeteries & Crematories on Nov. 26, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

JoNell King, 77, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of strength, determination, and love. She was a woman who knew her own mind-strong, independent, and unwavering. Her decisive spirit guided her through life and inspired everyone who knew her.

JoNell's greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her children, Richard Van Jaeschke and LaNell Marie Scott, and her three grandchildren-Eddy, Paige, and Bradley-each of whom she adored. She always created truly magical Christmases for her grandchildren, filling their childhoods with joy, tradition, and memories that will forever warm their hearts.

She will be remembered for her fierce independence, her steady presence, and the depth of love she carried for her family. Her strength shaped generations, and her legacy will continue to shine through the lives she touched.

A viewing will be held on December 4, 2025, at Mission Park South Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Funeral services will be on December 5, 2025, at 8:15 AM with the procession and burial service taking place at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, where JoNell will be laid to rest beside her loving husband, John King.
