Jonell Lewis

Jonell Wallace Lewis was born August 7, 1937 in Fulton Kentucky to Wilmer and Brooksie Nell Wallace. After school she met Gilbert Lewis who became the love of her life. She did turn him down the first-time he asked her to marry him, though. They married March 25, 1962. Jonell and Gilbert had two sons, Lance and Lynde. She loved them greatly and watched them grow into fine young men. They in turn met and married, Lance to Patrice Burchette and Lynde to Denise Hettinger. She called them her daughters in love. Soon came the best, grandchildren! Clayton, Nathan, Katie, Grace and Sofia. She adored them and many of their friends. Everyone was always welcomed at their house. Jonell had so many friends whom she loved dearly, she never met a stranger!

Jonell was a member of Collierville First Baptist Church where she served and led in Women on Missions and Vacation Bible School. She loved her Lord and wanted no more than to spend eternity praising Him! Jonell is preceded in death by her parents Wilmer and Brooksie Nell Wallace, her brother Johnny Wallace and husband Gilbert Lewis.

She leaves her sister Amelia Tucker, sons Lance (Patrice) and Lynde (Denise), along with her Grandchildren Clayton, Nathan, Katie (Johnny), Grace and Sofia. Jonell will be greatly missed but now she is perfectly loved by Jesus!
