GREEN RIVER- Joni Banasky Pace passed away peacefully in her home on March 18, 2024.
Joni was born on April 12, 1960 in Price, Utah to James and Beverly Banasky.
Joni married the love of her life, Brent E. Pace. They had three biological children and many foster children who called them Ma and Pa. Joni believed that serving people in need was her purpose and dedicated her life to making this world a better place. She was passionate about ensuring anyone who needed food, clothing, and a safe place, got one. She helped open a Boys and Girls Club and a food bank in Green River, Utah. Joni's grandchildren were her pride and joy and she loved spending time baking, dancing, and reading books to all of the kids that came through her door. Joni had a talent for connecting people. She lined up many friends who later married and was known for finding resources for businesses. She made friends with everyone she met with her beautiful bright eyes and smile.
Joni is survived by her husband, Brent; children, Karli, August, and Rockford; brother, JD Banasky; and by her seven grandchildren, Kalla, Ivana, Nick, Alex, Ananda, and twins, Sophie and Aubrey.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Scott Banasky; as well as her parents, James and Beverley Banasky.
Joni is now home sending love from the stars up above.
