Horan & McConaty Funeral Service & Cremation - Northwest/ArvadaJonnie Lee Lombardi, 78, of Arvada, Colorado, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on September 30, 2025.
Born on April 2, 1947, in Denver, Colorado, Jonnie was the beloved daughter of the late Lucille (Lombardi) Schroeder and John Kirk. She graduated from Ranum High School in 1965 and spent the early years of her life raising her three children as a dedicated homemaker.
Jonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas C. Lombardi of Baltimore, Maryland. She is survived by her loving children: Jeff Garrison, Bonny Garrison Colagrosso (Drew), and Mindy Garrison Masias (Steve). She was a proud grandmother to Vincent, Kelly, Louis, and Anthony Colagrosso, and Stevanna Masias — all of whom brought her immeasurable joy and pride.
A passionate and talented cook, Jonnie co-owned and operated two restaurants, one Italian and one Mexican, with her mother, both located off 16th and Champa in Denver. Her warmth, tireless work ethic, and signature home-cooked meals left a lasting impression on countless friends, customers, and community members. Following her retirement from the restaurant business, Jonnie remained active in her faith community, serving with devotion in the Altar and Rosary Society at Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. Beyond her love of cooking, Jonnie was an avid reader who cherished the quiet comfort of a good mystery novel or challenging crossword puzzle.
Jonnie will be remembered for her fiery strength, independence, and limitless love — gifts she shared with everyone in her family. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit lives on in the hearts and memories of all who knew and loved her.
A memorial service to celebrate Jonnie’s life will be held on Monday, October 13, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home, 7577 W. 80th Avenue, Arvada, Colorado. A luncheon will follow at the same location.
