Jorge M. Acevedo

Jorge Manuel Acevedo, of Pasadena, Texas, passed away on November 11, 2025. A beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and grandpa, Jorge will always be remembered for his commitment and love for his family, his love of running, and his generosity towards others.

Born on February 27, 1939, in Chilapa, Guerrero, Mexico, to Zenon and Consuelo Acevedo, Jorge was the brother to Luz Maria, Lourdes, and Lorena.

Jorge was a local businessman in his community and had his real estate license. Jorge was well known in his community and seemed to make new friends everywhere he went. As an avid runner and frequent user of the running trails at Memorial Park in Houston, Jorge ran over a dozen marathons including the Houston and Chicago marathons. Jorge enjoyed spending time with his family and enjoyed going to garage sales with his wife Rebecca.

Jorge will be remembered as the beloved husband of Rebecca Acevedo (married: May 16, 1971), who preceded him in death, loving father of Jorge I. (Jennifer) Acevedo, and proud grandpa of Antonio and Alejandro.

There will be memorial visitation held from 10 am until the service time of 11 am on Saturday, December 6 at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home (705 W. 11 Mile Rd., Royal Oak).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated to the Memorial Park Conservancy.
