Janet Mae Hill

Janet Hill, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2025, at the age of 95.

Born on May 1, 1930, to Peter and Mable Spellman, Janet grew up surrounded by the love of her family, including her siblings Pete Spellman and Pat Spellman. She carried that love forward throughout her long and full life.

Janet was the devoted mother of Kevin, Kirt, Kim, and the late Kory (Barbara). She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl and her son-in-law Scott. She leaves behind 11 cherished grandchildren, countless great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews who will forever remember her unique spirit.

Janet found joy in life's simple pleasures: a day of shopping, a game of video poker, Sanders hot fudge, and her husband Carl. Her laughter, strength, and unmistakable spark will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Her family takes comfort in knowing she is reunited with those who have gone before her, and her memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those she loved.

Janet will be laid instate on Monday November 24, 2025 at 9:30 am at National Shrine of The Little Flower Basilica on Woodward and 12 Mile. A Funeral Mass will take place for Janet following this time at 10:00 am. Janet will be laid to rest immediately following the Funeral Mass at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
