Jorge Alberto Courtade passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at the age of 59 years. Beloved husband of Ana Bertha Courtade. Father of Ana Gabriela Courtade, Camila Natalie Courtade and Juan Eduardo Courtade. Son of Marina Montalvo and Jorge Courtade. Brother of Marta Courtade, Brenda Courtade and Emilio Courtade. Nephew of Emma Gomez Robleto. Uncle of Omar Ernesto Montalvo and Marina Fe Montalvo. Loving companion to his four-legged princess, Lola Maria Courtade. Preceded in death by his brother Tomas Omar Montalvo, sister Patricia Courtade, and uncles Mauricio Gomez and Billy Courtade. Mr. Courtade was a native of El Salvador and a resident of New Orleans for 30 years. Jorge received a Bachelors in Agricultural Engineering from The University of Tamaulipas in Mexico. A former employee of Kalencom Corporation, The Times-Picayune and The Marriott Hotel. Funeral Services will be held at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, La. at 2:00 pm on Friday, March 15, 2013. A visitation will also be held at Lake Lawn Funeral Home at 12:00 Noon.

Tuve la gran fortuna de conocer un hombre excepcional como pocos que conzco, al cual llegue a querer como parte de mi familia. Un hombre honesto, sincero, trabajador, buen amigo y de buen corazon, pero sobretodo un buen padre y esposo, de lo cual yo fui testigo. Su nombre es Jorge Courtade. Le doy gracias a Dios por la bendicion de haberle conocido.
