Jorgie’s long, courageous, battle with cancer came to a peaceful conclusion at his home January 13th, 2026. His strength, determination, and selfless concern for his family throughout his cancer journey was nothing short of awe-inspiring. Jorge Medrano lived for his family and loved spending time at home with his soulmate Tracie and furbaby Goober, going for his traditional “walk n talks” with his beloved granddaughter Evelyn whom he adored, and spending time up north building campfires, going for “tractor rides” and relaxing in nature.
Jorge retired from JBS in 2020 after forty years, filling his days with hiking along countless nature trails, biking all over Wisconsin with his brothers and volunteering his time with various charities, unless there was a Packers game on which Jorge loved watching with family (as long as they played well).
Jorge is predeceased by his parents, Encarnacion Medrano and Leonor Ortiz as well as his in-laws John and Dianne Lagers. Jorge is survived by his best friend and wife of almost forty years Tracie Medrano, loving son Justin Medrano (Amber “Tink” Medrano), cherished granddaughter Evelyn “Roo-Roo” Medrano, brothers Jose Medrano (Hilda), Chon Medrano (Mague), and Alex Medrano, his sisters Ofelia Medrano Ortiz (Cesario), Leonor Medrano Ortiz (Leopoldo) and Margarita Medrano Ortiz, brother-in-law, Scott Lagers as well as many loved nieces, nephews, and friends.
