Jorge Morales Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cypress Creek Funeral Home and Crematory on Jan. 22, 2026.
Jorge was an incredible man who I had the honor of having as a dad and now I get to pay

homage to him by sharing his story with those who knew him and cared for him.

Jorge Luis Castillo Morales passed away on January 21, 2026 in Houston, Texas at the age of

71. He was born on September 15, 1954 in Matamoros, Mexico. His journey led him from his

birthplace in Mexico to the bustling city of Houston where he met his wife who became his life

partner, and ended up building a family that was filled with laughter, loyalty, and loving security.

Family meant so much to my dad. He was preceded by his mother Hortensia Castillo, his father

Alfredo Castillo Sr, and his brother Alfredo Castillo Jr. He is now survived by his wife Luz M.

Castillo, and his two daughters - Elizabeth Castillo and Jubilee Castillo. He also left behind two

beautiful grandsons whom he loved so unbelievably much, Ethan Castillo and Christian Castillo.

Those who knew my dad knew that he was an indomitable spirit. He was a great man whose

family was his life. He shared many happy years with his beloved wife raising his daughters and

grandsons. My dad taught us many things but especially what it meant to persevere and would

always instill his family values into everything that he did. He would remind us to always be

mindful and with his endless humor he also made sure we never forgot to enjoy life. He guided

us with wisdom that was both firm and gentle so that we would be prepared for any

uncertainties that could come our way. That was his way of taking care of us.

We were not prepared for my dad to go as soon he did and if love could have been the deciding

factor in having him stay with us for a little while longer, he would still be here. That being said,

he has now found peace and rest forever. As we say goodbye to Jorge Luis Castillo Morales,

we will celebrate the beautiful memories and feelings of warmth that he left behind and his

legacy will live on in his wife, his daughters, and his grandsons. No matter how much time

passes, no one will ever take his place in our hearts.

My dad was a wonderful man who always made sure that his family was taken care of and his

love for us will live on always.
