Jorge Martinez Ortiz entered eternal rest on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at the age of 76. He was born to Esteban Martinez and Elodia (Ortiz) Martinez on February 8, 1950, in San Bernardo, Michoacan, Mexico.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Esteban and Elodia Martinez, and his brothers, Polo Martinez, Angel Martinez, and Consuelo Martinez.
Left to cherish and honor his memory is his loving wife, Melba Martinez; son, Daniel Ybarra; daughter, Laura Martinez Thompson; grandchildren, Jenna Ybarra, Lauren Ybarra, Ryan Ybarra, Thalia Sassman, Victoria Thompson, Emma Thompson, and Arabella Thompson. He is further survived by his sister, Ana Martinez, and brother-in-law, Jose G. Rios.
Jorge will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a hardworking man that loved to serve his community. Jorge’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
