In Loving Memory of Jorge O. Rivera
Our beloved Jorge passed into eternal rest on May 6, 2022. Born on June 11, 1946 in Montecristi, Ecuador, he was the son of the late Jorge Octaviano and Lucila Maria Rivera.
He is survived by his cherished wife of 51 years, Germania and his 3 loving children George, Cynthia, and Harry, supported by their respective spouses Sudy and Pia. Jorge is also survived by his 13 beloved grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was also a beloved brother and uncle to his many nieces and nephews who share fond memories of him.
Jorge worked for Pitney Bowes in Stamford, Connecticut for over 30 years until his retirement in 1999. The only thing he loved more watching the Mets was spending time with his grandchildren. Watching them grow gave him pure joy.
Jorge was also known for his joking personality and memorable New Year's Eve parties. Jorge's work ethic was incomparable and he could always be counted on to help a friend in need.
Above all else, Jorge was dedicated to his family. The brilliant light of his spirit will forever shine in our hearts.
Family and Friends may call at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 499 Yonkers Avenue Yonkers, New York 10704 on Wednesday May 11. Visiting Hours 3pm to 8 pm. He will have a mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Conception/ St. Mary's Church on May 12th at 10 am at 103 South Broadway, Yonkers, New York 10701. Entombment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Yonkers, New York.
