SWANTON - Jorie E. Spears, age 37, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 12, 2024.
She was born September 2, 1986 to Glen Spears and the late Joy (Chaffee).
Jorie lived life to the fullest, finding joy in spending time with her daughter, Joy, and her cherished family and friends. Whether cruising around the horn, swimming in local swimming holes, going for boat rides, or fishing with Dave on Lake Champlain, Jorie embraced each moment with zest and laughter.
She is survived by her daughter, Joy Cantor and her father Justin; her father, Glen Spears and his partner Dale Sheldon; her sisters, Josie Spears, Ashley Kelley and her husband Brendon, and Alee Greeno and her husband Ryan; nephews, Jace, Chase, Parker, Noah, and Ryalee; her paternal grandparents, Laurel & Rita Spears; aunts & uncles, Kevin & Pix, Brian & Brenda, Shawn & Debbie, JoAnn & Kevin, Justin, Jody, Jill & Roland, and Joan; her partner, Dave Longley; and her best friend, Kristian Young. Jorie was predeceased by her mother, Joy; and her maternal grandparents, Buddy & Doreen Chaffee.
Friends & family are invited to Jorie's life celebration on Friday, April 26, 2024 to include visitation from 4-7:00 PM followed with a memorial service at 7:00 PM at the Goss Life Celebration Home, 89 Grand Avenue, Swanton, VT.
For those who wish, contributions in Jorie's memory may be made to a fund to be set up for her daughter, Joy. Checks can be made out to Glen Spears and mailed to 131 Grand Avenue, Swanton, VT 05488.
