Jose was born on December 4, 1969 to Maria Florentina Gonzales Barreda & Jose Angel Barreda II, in Brownsville, Tx.
Jose (Lorenzo) went on to father one child, further raised two step children and two step grandchildren. Children: Adrian McCatheryn, Lynn Landers, & Shawn Landers; Grandchildren: Breann Marshal & Mike Cobb.
Jose (Lorenzo) cared for those he loved. He went out of his way to support them with love, time and energy. His dedication and devotion to his mother and her care was his top priority. As a boy his interest were astronomy. As he grew into a man his interests revolved around reading science fiction and creating worlds with his imagination.
Jose (Lorenzo) is survived by his mother Maria Florentina Berreda, his sisters, Maria Juanita Ortega, Maria, Maria Laura Hathcock, his brother Javier Eduarda Barreda, his life partner, and friend, Vecy Landers, his children, Adrian McCathern, Lynn Landers, Shawn Landers, his grandchildren Breann Marshal, & Mike Cobb.
Visitation will be held at Lucas Funeral Home Hurst Chapel 1321 Precinct Line Rd, Hurst, Tx. 76053.
Sunday January, 28th from 11am to 1pm.
