Jose A. De Leon Sr, 67, of Fremont, OH passed away surrounded by his family on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at Toledo ProMedica Hospital. He was born on January 20, 1958 in McAllen, TX to Pedro and Maria De Leon.
Jose married Maria Sanchez on June 11, 1977 and she preceded him in death on November 27, 2022. He retired from Bunge in Bellevue, OH after many years of service. Jose enjoyed going to the casino, playing bingo, fishing and in his younger years, playing softball.
Jose is survived by his children, Monica (Rick Torres) De Leon, Elmore, OH, Angelica (Marvin) Crowe and Jose De Leon Jr, both of Fremont, OH; his mother, Maria De Leon; siblings, Julio De Leon, Juan De Leon, Rosa Ortiz, Carmen Lara, all of Texas; grandchildren, Jose, Christian, Miah, Yasmine, Marizza, Marizela, Antonio, Charity, Trinity, Elysia, Angelo and Briella; six great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father, Pedro De Leon; wife, Maria De Leon and sister, Norma De Leon.
Jose’s wishes were not to have any services.
Memorials can be made in Jose’s honor to the Humane Society of Sandusky County, 1315 N River Rd, Fremont, OH 43420.
