Se celebrará una misa fúnebre el martes 23 de diciembre de 2025 a las 11:00 a. m. en la Iglesia Católica de San José. El sepelio tendrá lugar el miércoles 24 de diciembre a las 10:00 a. m. en el Cementerio Oaklawn.
El nació el 12 de Agosto de 1997 en Asheboro, Carolina del Norte.El Güero fue una de las personas más genuinas y felices que cualquiera pudiera conocer. Rara vez dejaba que un mal momento arruinara su día. Amaba estar con su familia y valoraba profundamente el tiempo de calidad que compartía con ellos. Su risa se escuchaba por toda la habitación y, con cada interacción, tenía la manera de iluminar cualquier lugar al que llegaba. Fue muy amado y siempre será recordado con cariño.
Le sobreviven sus padres, Eva Acuña y Manuel Fernández; sus hermanas, Karla y Karina Acuña; su hermano, Teodoro Acuña, sus sobrinos, Alexis, Ángel, Milton, Brandon y Carlos, sus sobrinas; Marlen, Briana y Cinthia; además de muchos primos, familiares y amigos que lo amaron profundamente.
Habrá un velatorio después del servicio de 12:00 p. m. a 5:00 p. m. en Ridge Funeral Home
José Manuel Fernández “El Güero”, 28, passed away on December 15, 2025, at his residence in in San Antonio, TX.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at 11:00 am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. A burial will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at Oaklawn Cemetery.
He was born on August 12, 1997, in Asheboro, North Carolina. El Güero was one of the most genuine and happy people anyone could know. He rarely let a bad moment ruin his day. He loved being with his family and deeply valued the quality time he shared with them. His laughter could be heard throughout the room, and with every interaction, he had a way of lighting up any place he arrived. He was very loved and will always be remembered with affection.
He is survived by his parents, Eva Acuña and Manuel Fernández; his sisters, Karla and Karina Acuña; his brother, Teodoro Acuña; his nephews, Alexis, Ángel, Milton, Brandon, and Carlos; his nieces, Marlen, Briana, and Cinthia; as well as many cousins, relatives, and friends who loved him deeply.
There will be a viewing following the service from 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm at Ridge Funeral Home.
