Visitation for Jose will be on Friday, October 24, 2025, from 5:00pm-8:00pm at Larkin & Garcia Funeral Care located at 1844 Minnesota Ave, Kansas City, Kansas 66102. Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, October 25th from 10:00am-11:00am at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church located at 1086 N. 94th St. Kansas City, KS 66111. Burial will follow at Gates of Heaven Catholic Cemetery located at 12600 Parallel Pkwy, Kansas City, KS 66109.

Jose Inocente Moreno was born on March 12, 1943, to Baltazar Moreno Granados and Maria de la Luz Navarro Hernandez in Valle de Allende, Chihuahua, México. He passed away, surrounded by his loving family, on October 19, 2025, in Kansas City, Missouri.

Jose was married for 47 years to his late wife, Betty J. Moreno, before her passing on September 5th, 2021. Together they were blessed with 8 children, 22 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Jose loved his family more than words can express.

In his younger years, he played the drums for various bands. His family will always remember his love for music. Jose went on to retire from the Union Pacific Railroad. He will always remain in the hearts of those who loved him.

Jose was preceded in death by his late wife, Betty J. Moreno; parents, Baltazar Moreno Granados & Maria de la Luz Navarro Hernandez; siblings, Carlos Moreno and Amparo Moreno.

He is survived by his children, Jose Moreno Jr. (Rosa), Dominic Enriquez (Veronica), Lucy Moreno (Luis), Natalia Gomez (Saul), Gena Martinez, James R. Valenzuela (Carolyn), Damari Martinez (Gerardo), Patricia Velo (Manuel); siblings, Ruben Moreno Navarro, Josefina Moreno Navarro, Agustin Alvarez, Martha Moreno, Cecilia Moreno, Jose Vidal Moreno, Salvador Moreno; 22 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
