Jose Torres Ramirez, 80, of Chicago's Harwood Heights, formerly of Chicago's Jefferson Park and born and raised in San Luis Potos, passed away after a brief illness on November 18th, 2025. Beloved husband of Joanne for 18 years. Loving father of Gloria "Yaya" (Julio) Villanueva, and Maribel Torres. Cherished grandfather of Gabriel (Veronica) Villanueva, Thalia Villanueva, Tessa L. Boyce. Great grandfather of Cecilia A. Villanueva. fond uncle of Christina Vivanco Leon and Alejandro Vivanco, and many other nieces and nephews. Dearest brother of Benito Torres Ramirez, Cloticde Torres and Christiana; brother-in-law of Dave and Nancy Phelps Vivanco. Preceded in death by nine other siblings. A private family gathering is planned for a later date and time.
