Jose Febus Rivera, affectionately known as "J-Wow," age 31, of Hamden, Connecticut, passed away unexpectedly on June 12, 2025, in Milford, Connecticut. Born on November 30, 1993,in Pawtucket, RI, Jose was raised in Bridgeport, Connecticut, where his sense of humor, beautiful smile, and free spirit made him unforgettable to all who knew him. He had a heart full of laughter and a personality that brought joy and comfort to those around him.
Jose had a deep passion for motorcycles and found freedom and brotherhood with his Free Rider family. He found peace on the road, living life with boldness and heart. A lover of the outdoors, he cherished riding his motorcycle and enjoying the fresh air and freedom the road gave him.
He was a devoted father to his five beloved children who were his pride and joy, and a cherished son to his father, Jose Febus Sanchez. He is also survived by his loving sisters, Yachayra Febus and Ashley Rivera Febus;and his brother Abraham Febus; his proud grandparents; is caring aunt and uncles;
Virgin Rivera, Rafael Febus, and Angel Febus, and many friends who became extended family.
Jose's loss leaves a deep void, but his memory will live on through the love he shared and the light he brought into so many lives.
Funeral services celebrating Jose's life will be held at Community Funeral Chapels Thursday, June 26, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Friday, June 27, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow to Park Cemetery, located at 620 Lindley Street in Bridgeport, Connecticut 06606. To honor Jose's memory, you may light a virtual candle or share a tribute at communityfuneralchapels.com.
Jose will be missed beyond words and remembered forever. May he ride free and rest in peace.
