Jose Antonio Rodriguez Sr.

Jose Rodriguez, 63, beloved husband of Kathleen Rodriguez, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 13, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 21, 1962, in Philadelphia, PA, to mother Nellie Martinez and father Carlos J. Martinez. He grew up in Philadelphia, and then Kathy and their family moved to Connecticut. Jose worked as a warehouse supervisor at Hillyard. He was very passionate about his career, taking care of his family, and his favorite football team, the Philadelphia Eagles.

Jose is survived by his wife Kathy, his four children Cynthia Rodriguez of Philadelphia, PA, Kristy Nimchuk of Philadelphia, Nellie Rodriguez and Jose Rodriguez Jr. both of Manchester; his parents Nellie and Carlos Martinez; two grandchildren, Alyssa and Keyan; great-granddaughter J'Aaliyah, all of Philadelphia; a brother, Ramiro Rodriguez Jr. of San Francisco; four sisters, Alicia Rodriguez of Philadelphia, Marilyn Rivera and her husband Alberto of East Hartford, Cynthia Martinez-Babulik and her husband Lou of Slovakia, and Eileen Martinez of Philadelphia; along with numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Jose was predeceased by his father, Ramiro Rodriguez, and a sister, Judith Syres.

Family and friends are invited Thursday, February 19th, at 10 a.m. for a period of visitation prior to the funeral home service at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center Street, with burial to follow in East Cemetery, Manchester.
