Jose Antonio Sandoval

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved father Jose Antonio Sandoval. (58) of Hatch N.M on March 7, 2026. He was born on November 23, 1967, in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua to Ernestina Banuelos and Agapito Sandoval, who preceded him in death. Jose worked in labor throughout his life in the Hatch area and was known as a hardworking man who dedicated himself to providing for his family. He was a devoted Roman Catholic whose faith was an important part of his life. Jose will be remembered for his kindness, his humorous personality, and his willingness to help anyone in need.

He is survived by his loving wife, Gloria Sandoval, and their four children: Gloria Elena Sandoval, Luis Ivan Sandoval (Selena), Nataly Sandoval, and Judith Sandoval. He is also survived by his sisters Yolanda Sandoval and Maria Elena Sandoval, numerous nieces and nephews, and many members of the Valero and Banuelos families and his pet "Pitufo". Jose was a proud grandfather to Emily, Jonathan, Amalia, Anahi, Alan, Isaac, Jiovanni, Alexia, and Roman, and was preceded in death by his beloved granddaughter, Fatima.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Luis Ivan Sandoval, Jonathan Sandoval, David Banuelos, Jose Salgado, and Francisco Jaramillo.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 19 at 5:00 p.m. at Our Lord of Mercy Catholic Church in Hatch, New Mexico, with the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. and services continuing throughout the night. Services will continue Friday, March 20 at 11:00 a.m., followed by burial at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Hatch, New Mexico.

The Sandoval family would like to thank everyone for their prayers, love, and support during this difficult time.
