Mr. Jose Federico Tapia Jr., was born March 25, 1950 in Leyba, New Mexico, and passed away January 30, 2024 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was the fifth of eleven siblings of the late Federico and Lugarda Tapia. Mr. Tapia attended the public schools of San Jon, New Mexico and is a respected resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Mr. Tapia was united in holy matrimony to Louberta Tapia on April 1, 2000. In his younger years he enjoyed active sports, basketball and baseball. In his later years, he enjoyed horse racing and raising his roosters. He dedicated himself as a single father to four of his eight children.
He is proceeded in death by his parents; Federico and Lugarda Tapia, siblings; Eutimio, Cayetano, Faustin, Estevan, George, Isidro, and Lucy Daughter Melanie Tapia. Survived by siblings: Stella Tapia, Connie Cardenas, Elizabeth Tapia-Aragon, Children: Jennifer, Chris Tapia (spouse: Margie), Charlotte, Renee, Jose Fred Quintana (spouse: Fanny), Jose Fred Tapia (Spouse: Monique) and Nicole Molinas, his two step children, Davey and Erica, as well for all of his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces and extended family members.
Services will be February 13, 2024 at Holy Family Catholic Church, located at 562 Atrisco Drive SW, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87105. The rosary will start at 8:00 AM, mass at 9:00 AM with the reception to follow.
He will be greatly missed.
