Josel N. Cook, 84, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2025 leaving behind family and friends who will miss her spark and love of life.
Josel was born January 6, 1941 to Frank and Earline (Hightower) Windham in Dallas, Texas. She and her twin sister Jonel, were a high-energy pair who loved spending time with friends, family, playing games and enjoying the outdoors. Josel was a long-time bookkeeper for several well know companies inside and outside of Texas. Back in 2005 Josel made the move to Decatur to be closer to her son, and found herself among lots of new friends playing bunco helping coordinate the complex by being active on the board.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Darwin Bradam of lake Bridgeport; her twin sister Jonel and sister Ginger Strogner; her 2 nieces, Traci Mitcheltree and Karie Hammond and husband Calvin; her nephew, Terry Cowan. A private family service will be planned for a later date.
