Age 69, of North Braddock, passed on Wednesday, March 27, 2024
He is survived by is wife of 30 years, Marilyn Aubele; step-son, Daniel (Bonita) Pastor; step-daughter Tanya Pastor; grandchildren Jessica (Moe) Awwad, Julian Pastor, Arianna Gaiter, Cameron Pastor, Skyler Pastor; siblings Gilbert (Diane) Aubele, David (Kathy) Aubele, Susan McClelland, Jerry (Michele) Aubele; sister-in-law Dianna Aubele; brother figure, Ralph Chew; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in his passing by his parents, Gilbert and Rosemary Aubele; a grandson, Phoenix Pastor; his siblings, Jack Aubele, Linda (Kevin) Holma, Stephen Aubele, William Aubele; and his parental figures Emma "Aunt Em" Chew and Martin "Uncle Bud' Chew.
Joe was an avid bird watcher and photographer. He enjoyed all things nature. Later in life, he found a love for travel. He loved spending time with his family, and in particular being a Pappy to his grandkids. He liked to keep to himself, but when you approached him, you got a good laugh from his witty personality. Joe was one of the smartest people you could meet, always offering to help where needed. He was a good man that would give the shirt off his back if he could at any opportunity. He will be greatly missed.
Friends received, Saturday, 2:00 pm-6:00 pm at Soxman Funeral Homes, Ltd./Roth Chapel,7450 Saltsburg Road (at Universal Road) Penn Hills, where a Service will be held, Saturday, 6:00 pm.
