Joseph Avola, Jr., 34, of Ridgefield Park, formerly of Lodi, passed away on June 8, 2024. He was a master mechanic and worked in the automotive industry. Joseph loved his family and friends, to ride his motorcycle and was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He had a smile and a twinkle in his eye that captured everyone who met him. Joseph was also a member of the National Guard. He is predeceased by his father Joseph Avola, Sr., his grandparents Anthony and Anna Gioiello. He is survived by his beloved mother Donna Gioiello, his wife Kristy de la Vega, his cherished daughter Milana Rose Avola, a step-son Damian de la Vega; his brother Anthony Avola and his partner Desiree Smart, brothers Peter Avola, James Avola, and a sister Samantha Jo Avola; his grandparents Louis and Alice Avola; his aunt and godmother Rosa Thorpe, uncle Louis Avola and wife Cheryl, aunt Cheryl Szentner and husband Charlie; his cousins Katelynn Ortiz and husband Hector, Daniel Avola, Peter Avola and and D'Anna Avola. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Friday 10:00 am at Di Chiara Funeral Home, 300 Main St., Lodi for a 10:30 am Chapel Service. Interment to follow at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery in Lodi. Visitation Thursday 4:00-8:00 pm.
