We are so sad to learn of Joe´s passing. We met Joe back in the 1980´s when my husband ( then boyfriend) Jeff & I worked with him @ Deno´s Pizza in Satellite Bch.. We had some fun times. He definitely was one of our favorite people as he always had us laughing & had a smile on his face. Joe & I also went to UCF together. As years passed we lost touch but we reconnected a few years ago on FB. It was good to catch up with Joe. He had accomplished so much and was such an inspiration to his daughter, his family, friends & in his medical community . We are sorry we never got to meet up in person & introduce each other´s children. We are glad he was in our lives no matter how long ago & he will be missed. Praying for him and all those he left behind.

Joe was one of a kind. The life of the party, with his quick wit and comedic timing. One memory I will always cherish that brought out Joe´s zany side was when we worked at Hardee´s together in the 80´s. When the closing shift was almost over we would take leftover hot dogs to the walk in freezer and throw them against the wall to see if they would stick. Ever after that when the opportunity arose, we would destroy as many hot dogs as we could without getting caught, then act like we had no idea how all those tiny bits of meat ended up in the freezer. There will never be another Joe Sam. I´m thankful for the memories, what he meant to so many others and what he meant to me. I´ll miss you my old friend.

Joe was my savior during a very difficult time of my life. I loved him dearly. His love and laughter brought me back to life. His hugs were warming. We shared our dreams. Although we went our separate ways, he always remained in my heart. I cherish our recent phone conversations and getting to meet Naomi vis FaceTime. He will be missed. Heaven has gained another angel. Love you Joe Babb!

He was always taking care of the patients with a smile. He was very kind and easy to talk to.
