Joseph Stephen Beda

1943 - 2023

Joe, of Oak Brook, Illinois, previously of Glen Ellyn, Illinois, passed away at 80 surrounded by family and friends in his final days. We know he is at peace with his beloved wife, Gail Lee Beda, whom he was married to for over 50 years. He was a wonderful father to Jill Beda Daniels (Peter Daniels) and Joe Beda (Rachel) but his favorite title was Grandpa to Jill and Peter's children Harper, Eby, Fisher and Tate Daniels and Joe and Rachel's children, Lake and Nora Beda. Joe was both a simple and complex man. He was simply a wonderful father, grandfather and husband. He was one of the kindest people we've ever known and was accepting and loving to all those around him. He was also exceptionally intelligent. He instilled in his children a broad sense of curiosity that has served them well. As an early computer programmer, Joe worked hard to provide for his family by founding 2 companies and charting his own path professionally. He assured his family that he was at peace and had no regrets. His family takes that as an inspiration and evidence of a life well lived. We know now he is with Gail in heaven and is beyond the pain and struggles of this world. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to the People's Resource Center in his honor.
