THE FAMILY WISHES TO THANK EVERYONE WHO DONATED TO THE CHARITABLE CAMPAIGN. 100% of the funds raised are being donated to assist with the care of his son Kyron.
Joseph James Behal, 35, died tragically as the result of a car-pedestrian accident February 16, 2024. He is survived by his beloved son Kyron James Behal; his loving mother Jennifer (Cvik) Behal; his siblings Joshua Behal, Jesse Behal and Sydney Behal; grandmother Sylvia Behal; a special aunt Tammy and uncle Harry LaBarr, uncle Dave and aunt Karen Behal, cousiins Dominica, Matthew, Shaylynn and Brandon and numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his best friend and hero- his dad Ronald James Behal. Joe loved biking, off-roading and riding ATVs. He also loved hunting and fishing and all kinds of outdoor activities. He attended Johnson City Schools and worked in construction trades in Florida. "Keep me in your heart for awhile, always remember my laugh and my smile".
The family will receive friends from 3-5 pm Friday March 1, 2024 at the Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home, 483 Chenango St. Binghamton. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 pm, followed by a memorial gathering at American Legion Post 1305, 820 Stella Ireland Rd. Binghamton.

Jennifer, Josh, Jesse, Syd, and all the Behal family. I am so unbelievably beside myself and so utterly sorry for this deep and tragic loss. I do not know what to say but at the same time, there is so much that could be said. Joey was my best friend growing up, From the first day we met in 4th grade we learned and grew so much together. Some of my fondest memories of the many are the in-between moments such as all the conversations we would have while chopping wood before Ron would let us jump in the Jeep and go off-roading on the land behind the house, Coming back covered in mud, and then eating a delicious venison dinner that Ron had prepared us. Ron taught not just Joey but me as well many of the things it takes to be a Good Man, I cherish the time we had. I will forever be grateful for his friendship and never forget him. I am just so sorry. Your family is in my prayers every night.
