Blaha (nee Kunes); loving father of Robert Blaha (Ramona), Brenda Blaha (Dieter Schoeps), William Blaha (Kim) and Barbara Bachman (Joel); cherished grandfather of Alexandra Blaha (David Hirsh), Matthew Blaha, Katie Blaha (Fiance Adam Bloom), Erika Schoeps, Karl Schoeps (Natalie), Steven Bachman (Brooke) and Rachel Russell (Jamison); great-grandfather of Wolf Hirsh, Max Hirsh, Ruth Russell and Luke Russell; son of the late Anton and Leonarda (nee Lehman) Blaha; dear brother of Bernie Blaha (Carol) and Larry Blaha (Karen); beloved uncle. U.S. Army Veteran. Friends may call at THE FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME 356 W. AURORA RD. (OH. RTE. 82) SAGAMORE HILLS FOR VISITATION TUESDAY JANUARY 30, 2024 2-4 AND 6-8 P.M. Funeral Wednesday January 31, 2024 10:45 a.m. at the Funeral Home, Funeral Mass St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church 11:30 a.m. Interment Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date.

As Marge and the kids may know, back in the mid 70s, Joe more than likely saved me from drowning at Gem Beach on Catawba Island. Now, I may have decided to start swimming at the moment I could no longer touch my toes, or I might not have. But as my Dad lay sleeping on the beach, Joe was Joe, looking out for us kids. He brought me back to to shore and from that moment my appreciation for Joe never faded. He was a great friend to my Dad, and I´ll have many fond memories of Joe from Catawba and at the horse track. Thanks for always having a kind word. RIP. Dan Fousek
